"Though many, we are one body in Christ."
A Helping Hand
The subject and meaning of this photo revolves around the quote above. By showing the students coming together to work on homework, they are putting their ideas together. Then when the solution is come up with, they are all happy and excited. By working together, their different opinions are unfolding to make one final outcome. This shows that when you put ideas together, the final product can be something better than if you were to just do it on your own. Learning from others is really important.
The composition choices revolving around this photo are ones in which are close up. Using the rule of thirds was easy when we put all three heads on the top line. We chose this shade of lighting because it brings out everything that is happening in the picture, not making it too dark or too late. You can distinct every item. We left space in the back so that the viewers would see that it was token in the library. A creative choice that we came up with was "catching it in the moment." We thought it would make the picture more real if we were to catch it when it was really happening.
For the technical aspects, the aperture was 5.5 and shutter speed was 60. We were able to make the focus ring focus perfect so that the picture was very clear. By trying different lighting, we were able to explore the camera and its different parts.
The choice we made in this picture demonstrates our knowledge on how to take a basic picture with an older camera. When choosing the colour, I believe we chose a very good shade. We also were able to focus the camera properly using the focus ring. This enabled us to take a clear picture. The normal shutter speed also played a very important part in this. If I were able to do this again, I believe that I would have maybe made the books around the students a bit more clearer. I would rather them be more visible so then it is more obvious that they are working.
